my grandma alice: a woman who, during the course of her life, has spent more time at macy's than in the kitchen. that's her in the blog header with my mama on the beach. this photo is of her wedding day to my grandpa joe (who looks dapper as hell, i might add). the black hat with the purple flower. the crisp white shirt underneath the beige, double-breasted suit that matches the white flowers on her shoulder and the small bud blooming from my grandfather's button-hole. the red of the flower the same as her nails. and those gloves! oh, what i wouldn't do for that tie my grandfather is wearing...
