Layering for work.  I could wear jeans and sneakers every day but I find student engagement goes up when I dress up a bit.  Funny, huh?

Narnia

Mt. Pilchuck an hour NE of Seattle.  I feel so lucky to live so close to Narnia.  Although the hour drive is not nearly as convenient as a hole in the closet, I'll still take it.

(and by "soon" i mean within the next four years... that's soon, right?) i am going to make this quilt. i'ma dye some fabric, cut some stuff up, practice sewing in a diagonal line (which i'm told is actually sewing in a straight line but i'm pretty sure my mama is just making stuff up), and then make myself this quilt! it's gonna be great! i can't remember where i got this image, but this quilt is amazing. i think it's sewn in the traditional Japanese fashion? i don't pay attention, i just click and save images to my desktop like it's my job. so sue me!
